About
Ortiz Welding Christmas Party, 2023
Established in the heart of Hopewell Junction, New York over seven decades ago, Ortiz Manufacturing Co. has stood as a testament to craftsmanship and family legacy. Founded in 1948 by patriarch Philip J. Ortiz, a skilled welder, the company began modestly in a small workshop on the outskirts of town. Philip J. Oritz Sr. started the business building custom made tow trucks that were ahead of their time.
From its humble beginnings, Ortiz Manufacturing Co. grew steadily under Philip’s guidance, earning a reputation for reliability and quality in welding services. Philip’s son, Barry Ortiz, inherited both his father's passion for welding and the family business. With Barry at the helm, the company expanded its operations, diversifying into custom fabrication and serving a broader range of industries, from construction to automotive.
Now, in its third generation of family ownership, led by Philip’s grandson, Phil J. Ortiz (appropriately named after his grandpa), Ortiz Manufacturing Co. continues to flourish. Under Phil’s innovative leadership, the company has embraced cutting-edge technologies while maintaining the traditional craftsmanship values his grandpa instilled. The workshop that once housed a handful of welders now employs a dedicated team of skilled technicians and engineers, known for their expertise and commitment to excellence.
Throughout its journey, Ortiz Manufacturing Co. has remained deeply rooted in its community, forging lasting relationships with clients and suppliers. The company's commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction has sustained its success over the decades and cemented its legacy as a cornerstone of the local industrial landscape.
As Ortiz Manufacturing Co. looks toward the future, it continues to uphold the principles of its founders while embracing new opportunities in an ever-evolving industry. With each weld, Ortiz Manufacturing Co.’s dedication to craftsmanship and service endures, ensuring their legacy burns brightly for generations to come.
